A Month into the New Year

It has been a very exciting year so far.  The most exciting thing is that I am now an “Oma”!  My grandson, Ezekiel John, made his appearance on Dec. 20 but I had to wait until Jan. 13 to head out to California to meet him. I got to spend 9 glorious days snuggling and cuddling and just loving him.  It was the most amazing feeling when my son put him in my arms.  It was wonderful visiting with my son and terrific daughter-in-law and, as a bonus, my youngest son came out to visit at the same time so I got to see him too!  We had a wonderful visit and I can’t wait to get out there again.

Our holidays were terrific.   robs-christmas-tree  Spent Christmas Eve with my two oldest sons and they had an awesome 11 ft. Christmas tree.

Had a nice walk on Christmas Eve down to the pond near their house. peaceful-pond

So peaceful.  I just love going up to visit them.

Only one snowstorm so far this year but it was so pretty.

Another exciting thing for 2017 is that I have my embroidery machine

innovis

I’ve been having a great time learning all about the things I can make with it.

I made a set of soft blocks for EJ with some Disney characters  embroidered on them mickey    I’ve made some Easter things but can’t show pictures because they are going into some Easter baskets and want to keep them a secret for now.  And today I tried my hand at embroidering some kitchen towels for a couple of friends.  towelsI enjoyed making them and will be doing quite a few more of them.

So, all in all it has been quite an exciting year so far.  And just in case anyone was wondering ………………..  11-months-to-go   ……. 11 months to Christmas.

Hope you are having a good 2017.   Be well.  Stay safe and warm.

See you soon.

Ginny
