…….. and the livin’ is easy as the song says.   Well, sometimes it is easy.   I bet you all have been wondering just where I had gotten myself off to.  I am here and  have been enjoying the summer.   The garden has been keeping me pretty busy.  Our front flower beds are looking very good.  I planted some vinca in pots to add a bit of color in some spots that needed a bit of brightening up.  Our Black-eyed Susan’s are doing very well this year too.  They have made a good comeback after being accidentally mowed down a couple of summer’s ago.   The Montauk Daisies are looking pretty good.  They will be giving us some beautiful flowers as the summer winds itself down.

I have been spending a bit of time in the sewing room too.  We had a very successful Craft Fair on Memorial Day weekend.   Some of the more popular items were:

  The double wine bottle carriers.

Burp Cloths and Baby Blankets:

Tablerunners and placemats went very quickly

And the Crafter’s Apron and the reversible BBQ Apron were customer favorites too.

Of course, I needed to bring something Yankee-related to work so I made myself a small quilted wall-hanging to make me smile          .

So folks, that’s what I’ve been up to the last few months.  Sorry I’ve been absent here.  I am planning on being busy in the sewing room again within the next few weeks.  I’ve got a couple quilts in the works and some new items I am hoping to add to my repertoire.  I will keep you posted and share pictures.
